Maple Tree Description

Another of our variegated (multiple colors on one leaf) varieties, this Japanese maple tree has very uniquely-shaped leaves. They have very deeply divided, narrow lobes with long, curved tail-like tips and irregular margins. This small maple will only reach 8 feet tall and 6 feet wide in 10 years and can handle full sun or part shade, perfect for containers or small spaces in your yard. The spring color is a dark purple-red base with yellow-green edges. The purple-red color fades to a mauve red, then to green in full sun during the summer. Fall brings bright orange to red base colors with green edges. Manyo No Sato translates to “the wonderful place of nature” or “The Village of 10,000 leaves” in Japanese.
