Maple Tree Description

Orangeola keeps a small profile in the garden, reaching only 4-8 feet tall and 4 feet wide in 10 years if the central branch is led up a stake. This cultivar may be small, but it certainly stands out with bright colors that change throughout the year. In the spring the lacy leaves emerge as vivid oranges and reds, then turn green with splashes of reds at the beginning of the summer. In mid-summer, the leaves burst again with orange and eventually turn fiery orange-red in the fall. This variety can be grown into a weeping/mounding form, or can be contoured into a unique, flowing tree that is more tall than it is wide. The Orangeola is extremely popular with its ever-changing colors, truly a highlight in your garden all year long. The more sun it gets, the more colorful your tree will be.
