Maple Tree Description

Also known as “Red-Haired Dancing Girl,” Beni Maiko is a customer favorite. Reaching only 4-8 feet high and 4 feet wide, Beni Maiko is perfect for small spaces and containers. The leaves emerge as a fire-red color in the spring, fading to a pinkish red with a slightly green undertone. In the summer the leaves become green with the main veins staying red along with the leaf stems. Fall brings an edging of deep pink along the leaf margins, spreading to the center until the whole leaf is a fiery red. The leaves are palmate shaped and slightly wrinkled, curving sideways to achieve the illusion of a “dancing girl.” Grows well in full sun or part shade.
